thanks to Jay for sending them to me, you can see that the Ramchargers and My Norms were participating, and that this wasn't a single event.
I'm sure that these photos are all over the car websites already, and I think I've posted them too, but I can't find them in the archives, and since it's 49 years later, and February, I'm posting them again to remind others that you don't have to be in Southern California with 80 degree days at Pomona to drag race. You can make stuff happen, or could in the early 60's, with enough determination.

in the swap meet at Mopars at the Strip event, I was reminded often of why Mopars have such a junkyard - redneck reputation,

this run down, raced out, jury rigged Duster just bugs me for looking so shoddy
postable gas tank in the engine bay means the real gas tank is rusted out, or the fuel pump is busted, etc etc
Yikes, a culmination of bad 1980's custom body mods
I do like this front end used as a table, that is swap meet chabby chic. I like it.
