if you've never heard of Marty, he was a great singer song writer of westerns. Not this nonsense contemporary line dancing pop country... but westerns. Gunfighters, bandits, the Mexico border, etc etc. Very Zorro era type imagery.

Bangshift.com found the mother of home videos... the Daytona 500 pits before the race
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 7:17 PMthe above stills from the video are to let you see just how damn cool a late 60's muscle car can be if made full race. Chevelle, Impala, Road Runner, Fairlane, Galaxie, Cyclone, Starliner... you can still get these cars for less than 15 thou in running condition and make a Nascar clone.

the Holman Moody prepped, Fireball Roberts 1963 Ford Galaxy #22... .. a museum stored - fresh off the track - race car
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 9:55 PMQ code, single 4 barrel, 427 with cast iron hi flow exhaust headers
If I could recall all that I was told by the owner, a Holman or Moody, I can't recall which... but a nice guy, he said this was beign neglected in a museum, the NASCAR museum I think, and it hadn't been maintained, kept up, not even properly stored for decades. So when a Holman Moody museum was started, they got their cars back... see, they hadn't sold them to the museums, just loaned them. http://www.holmanmoody.com/

Ray Evernham made a 64 Plymouth Belvedere just like the ones that won in NASCAR, in 1964 at the Daytona 500 and the NASCAR Grand National Championship
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 10:13 PM750 Hp, 4 speed, front and rear clips from a modern NASCAR race car, and fully adjustable suspension. The only thing it doesn't come with is a crew chief and a pit crew!
Net proceeds from the sale will go to Evernham Family Racing for a Reason, a foundation that is funding IGNITE, a new program and facility in Davidson, N.C. operated by the Autism Society of North Carolina.
IGNITE enables adults with High-Functioning Autism or Asperger Syndrome to enjoy a better quality of life as valued members of the community in which they live and work.

Finally a Nascar Torino Talledaga with a BOSS 429 is going to be racing at Speedfest! LeeRoy Yarborough's #98
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 8:45 PMI was surprised to find the wood grain applique on the instrument panels... Who does that?
How about the malleable putty used to fill between the fender and bumper? Cool!
Great truck air foil too...
