Funniest thing I've seen all week, a guy impersonating a traffic camera doesn't realize he's annoyed the cops, til they back up to nab him

San Diego County Sherriff's Dept grows the "Take your police vehicle home program" gee, thanks for wasting tax payer dollars to cover your commuting gas bill
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 9:28 PMAbout 90 of the one in six, if I read that correctly, don't even live in the San Diego county.
the article is at http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/mar/26/tp-sheriff-grows-take-home-auto-program/
Why would they? They get to drive a govt vehicle home, they get the gas for free, and expense the entire commute.
http://www.utsandiego.com/video/play/53813/ for a video recap of the article
Must be nice to be driving a cop car, not even a chance of getting a ticket, and not have to think about how much driving costs you... because it doesn't. And your private vehicle? Less miles, less use, less insurance costs to you.
Nice "benefit" perk

if you tangle with a cop, have your cell phone recording it to use in a court of law. You KNOW that the cop isn't going to tell the truth about his actions, especially this jackass. Resigned AFTER being busted out of state, acting the ass. Compliments to the citizen!

so always have your cell phone, or all cell phones in the car on video recording when tangling with cops. You already know they don't follow the laws, often break them, will arrest you in a flick of the eye, and then lie about their unprofessional behavior. You see, they break laws, act like ass hats, and then realize that they have to protect themselves from your accusations in order to keep their high paying jobs, and save their pension providing career. You have any idea how motivated that makes them to not allow you to show their illegal behavior?

She doesn't post many car photos anymore, but among the multitude of humor posts she's done lately are these damn good funny ones
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 4:25 PMin the above, it's the handle she ( a blond who isn't aware she is perpetuating the stereotype of) has in her hand that makes it comical
looks like an attempt at a motorcycle based on the "I Robot" movie cars

Not really in the spirit of "Protect and Serve", I think this could easily be mistaken for sneaky and rotten
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 10:09 PMI actually do spot cops like this, it's rare to get to photograph them like this though.

Finally, a cop that isn't hiding in the shadows. One that is being bold enough to let the speeders and stop light runners know he's there.
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 10:06 PMSo for the first time in 6 years of posting photos of police behaving badly, I can applaud the motorcycle cop here for standing out from the worst behaving cops you'll hear about, the vast majority that I've photographed parking in the streets, not the parking spots, smoking cigars in their cop car at a gas pump, parking against the traffic pattern, radar gunning from the shade where they are hard to see, and all the rest.

Does making a contribution to a Police association and getting a sticker in your back window keep the police from giving you a ticket for speeding?

Some photos remind me of others.... the NYPD airplane at Bennett Field reminded me of the SDFD Aerial Truck
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 7:51 PMTop photo from http://www.scoutingny.com/ I'm pretty sure
maybe you see why. The bottom photo is from the Clairemont Fire Department wall of interesting photos http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/09/betcha-never-heard-of-aerial-truck.html and you can see that it's an "Aerial Truck" and I didn't make that up... and that has been posted for over a year and I've never had a comment about the term Aerial Truck yet. I still think it's pretty odd.

Touch a Truck, an annual and growing event that raises funds, and kids interest in big rigs, semi's, and trucks has grown to the point that it happens in the Qualcomm stadium parking lot now
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 11:12 PMThis is Robosaurus! I didn't get there early enough to catch it in action, I had a car show I was at before this years Touch a Truck.. some days there are more than one car show to see.
The jungle gym bus interior
The Boogie Brothers Blues Band was pretty good! I liked them, and their playlist, though I doubt the kids were able to hear the music.. the kids were HYPED up!
