Shelby cars you may not have ever heard of or seen, the Zagato GT 350, and the Shelby Lone Star
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 8:35 PMfor more info and photos of this 1966 GT 350 that Shelby sent to Zagato for restyling (look at the rear window wrap around) : http://www.thegentlemanracer.com/2013/05/the-1966-zagato-shelby-gt350.html
for the story of the 1968 GT40 based car: http://www.thegentlemanracer.com/2012/07/the-shelby-lonestar.html
The Gentleman Racer posted a gallery of the Carroll Shelby Driving School, (and it's van and Bugeye Sprite!)

Shelby Cobra Mustangs.. the last years of the 1960's had interesting tail panels, rear air spoilers, tail lights, and exhaust tips. Not my favorites, but good
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 10:40 PM Above is a 1969 by license plate (ZLR _ _ _ would have been registered in Aug or Sept 1968)
I think the dual center exhaust tips are likely originating on this model Shelby Cobra Mustang, I can't recall ever seeing a car before it with the dual exhaust in the center, instead of spread out to the far corners... and new cars still mimic this, like the Hyundai Veloster
1967? I think.

Shelby GT350 Mustang, with a couple strange things about it
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 11:48 PMWhat is this 4 knob device? Speaker controls? Power amp for the stereo?
and when the sign on the dash said the car was still owned by the original owner, but I saw this temp registration in the back window, I wondered what was going on...
I still can't figure out why it's an 1988 Nissan listed on the temp.

some things that caught my eye at the Knotts Berry Farm annual all Ford show
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 10:03 PMthe above Mustang has captured a lot of celebrity attention at car shows... I don't know why. It's been hit and restored, and in a music video... but nothing about the car caught my attention except the billboard
at the entrance across the street from Sears, this ugly 75 or 76 greeted you with it's ass. What a revolting developement as Bugs bunny used to say
on the subject of ugly, this Thunderbird speedometer is so ugly.... so cheap looking, and in such contrast to the cool pod gauges.. damn shame
