my co worker Rob was given this when he bought his new Mazda. 

Спортната икона на Mazda автомобил с ванкелов двигател ще се върне с нов стилен модел.

Въпреки това, наследника на прочутата RX-7 ще дойде едва през 2017-та година, което означава, че след края на производството на RX-8 ще има 5 дълги години на  почивка.

Новината съобщи директорът на спортния отдел на Mazda, Nobuhiro Yamamoto, който заяви, че ще подкрепи новият RX-7, а това съвпада с 50-та годишнина от първия модел на Mazda с двигател Wankel.

Предполага се, че новият двигател ще бъде 1.6 литров агрегат, който по време на последните тестове, достигна мощност 300 к.с.. "Двигателят може да получи турбо-по-късно, но за сега, най-вероятно не", заяви  Nobuhiro Yamamoto.

Разработването на нов ванкелов двигател е реалната възможност да се коригират всички проблеми, с които този компактен двигател се характеризира, това може да се окаже много трудно, но не и невъзможно.
