The Problem: Chrysler says its fuel tank supplier shipped damaged units with broken control valves. The defective valve could cause the engine to stall or leak fuel, which could lead to an accident or fire.

The Fix: Dealers will inspect vehicles and replace fuel tank assemblies free of charge if a damaged control valve is found. The recall is expected to start in March. For more information, owners can contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 1934 2013 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger sedans built between October 30, 2012 and November 2, 2012 are potentially affected, though only 16 damaged control valves are known to have been installed.
