The Problem: Stainless steel exhaust tips on certain sedan models may extend beyond the original length of the factory-installed exhaust pipe, and it may be possible for someone to accidentally burn themselves by touching it or walk into it with their leg.
The Fix: Owners will be notified in November, and if necessary, dealers will replace the exhaust tip free of charge. VW can also be reached at 1-800-822-8987.
