1952 Ford F-6 COE, the Frankenford, a lot of humor and effort to look grungy
0 comments Posted by Unknown at 8:06 PMhaving the exhaust come out like this doesn't mean the engine actually is under the 57 Chev hood, but it could be. Unique at the least, pretty cool for sure. Having the radiator right in front of the rear axel makes me think the engine us under that hood... but that would be a lot of work to redesign the truck like that. Makes me wonder what they did with the original engine area

and the engine is a Diamond REO, not a Rio. You know that, REO was a company from waayyy back in 1904 when Ransom E Olds made the REO company to make cars and trucks, busses were made too. Diamond T made trucks and semis (tractor trailer / 18 wheelers / (or whatever you call them)) and REO and Diamond T merged in 1967. The White trucking company bought that, and that is how a Diamond REO engine comes from a White truck. As soon as I read Rio, I knew that some explanation would be a good thing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_Reo_Trucks
if you can't remember where you heard the name Ian Roussel, it might have been from the Space Junkie at Gene Winfield's open house http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/10/space-junkie-by-ian-roussel-was-at-gene.html or the video http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/03/ian-roussel-kustom-cars-lead-sleds-54.html
