CARS NEW

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

The next-generation Vauxhall Corsa will get a design inspired by the Adam city car, as revealed by this early prototype which is wearing the all-new front-end styling.

Under the disguise is a new low-set grille, complete with a single bar running across the middle and a large centrally mounted Vauxhall badge.

The new Corsa is due in 2014 and will be built on GM’s Gamma II platform, which also underpins the Mokka SUV. The alliance between GM and PSA will mean the Corsa gets engines from Peugeot and Citroen models, including a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol. We also expect to see a turbocharged version of this engine, which will debut in the Peugeot 2008 crossover.

Along with the new Corsa, Vauxhall is planning a new budget small car that will be a more direct rival to the VW up!. For more details click here.
