What to do with kids or toddlers when going for a drive 100 years ago was simple, put them in a car seat... but where the car seat was located was unreal by todays standards

on the far back, or the far front, it's like the idea that placing a kid over a bumper never spraked the notion that kids in the proximity of a bumper become a bumper. Our ancestors seem to have lived by sheer accidental good luck sometimes.
